Q: Is this safe?
A: Yes, I coded it myself. This tool has been around for years. Nobody has ever been directly harmed in any way from downloading or using this client.
Q: Why does it detect as a virus?
A: It's called a "false positive". In crayon eating terms; Nitro forcibly injects hacks into Minecraft against it's will, when it's not even supposed to be able to do that. The anti-virus is too stupid to know the difference between injecting cheats into a game and injecting a password stealer into your browser. All it vaguely knows is that it's injecting something into something and that's sus.
Q: Is this allowed?
A: Yes, Minecraft literally promotes it's game as a platform for modders to tweak and change Minecraft as they see fit, so long as they do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of Minecraft itself. Minecraft mods and clients have a long-standing legacy and are synonymous with this game and it's community. However, most Minecraft servers do not allow mods to be used in a mutiplayer context, so beware and use these tools at your own risk!
